Day 4 of the 2024 tournament, saw Blues prospects continue to trend up in point production and time on ice. Dalibor Dvorsky finally put himself front and center for Slovakia posting 2G 2A for 4 points on the nights and really showcasing his shot to the world.

Fellow Slovakian Juraj Pekarcik also posted a goal in the game. Jakub Stancl continued his streak of points while maintaining a low time on ice which was very uncommon during the World Juniors. Average TOI came out to 16:18 up from Day 3 by at least one minute.

2025 Day 4 Performance

In terms of this year's World Juniors being held in Canada, The Blues have a record setting 9 prospects being called up to represent their home countries. Returning to the World Juniors one last time were Jakub Stancl (CZE), Dalibor Dvorsky (SVK), Juraj Pekarcik (SVK), Theo Lindstein (SWE), and Otto Stenberg (SWE). Joining them this year were newly drafted players Colin Ralph (US), Adam Jiricek (CZE), Ondrej Kos (CZE), and Adam Jecho (CZE).

The breakdown for day 4 of the event is as follows:

  • J. Pekarcik: 0G 0A 0P 21:53 TOI

  • D. Dvorsky: 1G 0A 1P 22:03 TOI

  • C. Ralph: 0G 0A 0P 10:20 TOI

  • T. Lindstein: 0G 1A 1P 19:34 TOI

  • O. Stenberg: 1G 0A 0P 18:30 TOI

  • J. Stancl: 0G 0A 0P 18:02 TOI

  • O. Kos: 0G 0A 0P 07:02 TOI

  • A. Jecho: 0G 1A 1P 08:55 TOI

The big test of the day was the Czechia vs. Slovakia game, a rematch of the opening game of the 2024 World Juniors, in which Slovakia hammered the Czechs 6-2. The Czechs would have no repeat, as they practically smothered the Slovaks physically throughout the game. Stancl alone was a wrecking ball and showcased his physical game and let the rest of the Czechia players shine on the score sheet tonight. Jecho and Jiricek were both able to assist on goals as the Czech skated away with a 4-2 victory.

On the Slovakian side, Dalibor Dvorsky continued to play very high minutes on a diluted team alongside Pekarcik. While Dvorsky scored a beautiful one-time shot on the powerplay, he was not able to lead his team to tie the game in the dying minutes of the game.

With the US vs. Finland game, Colin Ralph was not as apparent and was only used for about 10:20 for the whole game. With the Sweden vs Switzerland game Stenberg and Lindstein continued to contribute and maintain a high time on ice average. Stenberg
